The impossible profession just got bit harder, in fact some would say it could be downright murder. Dr. Noah Kaplan, an eminent psychoanalyst, is at the top of his game. Impenetrable, incisive, and driven, Dr. Kaplan has it all, a beautiful wife, a substantial practice, and most of all, respect of his colleagues. But, what he doesn't have is peace of mind. Kaplan's life begins to unravel when he falls into a rabbit hole that goes by the name of Belinda Shador, a new patient, mysterious as she is beautiful. She appears on his office doorstep and begins her psychoanalysis. Noah soon discovers when she enters each meeting and lays on the couch the session time literally evaporates, leaving Noah with no memory of their encounter. Becoming more and more obsessed with her, Noah's world begins to unravel like a kite string in a hurricane. He is drawn into a web of bizarre, surreal experiences that challenge his very sanity and the foundation of all he believes. And, there is one more thing; there is someone else, someone from Noah's past who has a good deal of unfinished business regarding the eminent Dr. Kaplan. Fast-past and gripping, infused with a an insiders knowledge, Our Time is Up, a psychoanalytic tale breaks down the consulting room door, and opens the reader to the darker truths of the human condition and the practice of psychoanalysis. Here is the world beyond the couch, where reality, memory, and the supernatural collide into a violent journey of self revelation and discovery, that could have unexpected and mortal consequences.
