Our naked scars
is an anthology of poetry that discusses the feeling of becoming detached from the rest of the world; whether that came about as the result of a nomadic childhood, or simply because we had always been born to stand out. The sense of hiraeth, homesickness, uncertainty and confusion that overwhelms us because we don't quite know where our home is. Consequently, we find a home in the wrong people. We allowed ourselves to be naked around these people, believing their love to be pure and selfless. We regret the ones who bruised our skin and mourn the ones who should have pierced through our skin. It is only after undergoing this arduous journey of constant betrayal and loss, that we can finally begin to heal. We learn to love our scars and in turn,
