The four stories in this book take a deeply contemplative even mystical look into nature in light of the current times of the existential threat and the need for a time of remembering the healing and saving knowledges and wisdoms of a bygone past. The first two stories-Mother Nature Mother Earth Birthed and The Tree Family-take this close look through the lens of five key characters-Mother Universe, who is the mother of Mother Earth, who is the mother of Mother Nature, who is the mother of Mother Africa, who is the mother of Humanity, from among whom there comes the antagonists in these stories. The next two stories-The Original Musical People and The Musical Doctors-focus specifically on nature's nature of music, in which music in its most original organic form in nature is a model and means for Humanity to recover critical characteristics that have been lost in its headlong rush into civilization. The coming of light, in which the author was able to write these four stories, began two decades ago when he put down the conventional musical instruments and music composing of his youth and academic training to discover a different kind of music congruent with his pivotal move to surrender his American lifestyle as a professor of music and live off the grid far east in East Africa. In Morogoro Tanzania, in forestland at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains, he shows his wife and young son (the two illustrators of these books) how to understand nature and its original music in a way that might actually transform Humanity into the creature that creation intended it to be.
