କବିତ୍ୱ ଏକ ଦୁର୍ଲଭ ଶକ୍ତି । ଏହା ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅବତରଣ କରେ ସାଧାରଣ ମଣିଷ ଅସାଧାରଣ ପାଲଟିଯାଏ । ଏହି ଶକ୍ତି ବଳରେ ସମଗ୍ର ଜୀବଜଗତରେ କଳାପ୍ରାଣତା, କଳ୍ପନା ପ୍ରବଣତା ଚିରଜାଗ୍ରତ ରହିଛି । ସଂସ୍କୃତି ତଥା ସଭ୍ୟତାର କ୍ରମ ଉତ୍ତରିତ ପଥ ଆହୁରି ଉଜ୍ୱଳ ଦିଶୁଛି ।
ବ୍ୟାସ, ବାଲ୍ମିକୀ, ହୋମର, ଚସରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଜିଯାଏ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ କବି ଜନ୍ମ ନେଇଛନ୍ତି । ସେହି ଅକ୍ଷର ବ୍ରହ୍ମଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦରୁ ମହାକାଳ ବକ୍ଷରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କୃତିତ୍ୱ ଭାସ୍ୱର ରହିଛି । ଦିନେ ବେଦକୁ ଶୁଣି ଶୁଣି ମନେ ରଖିବାକୁ ହେଉଥିଲା ବୋଲି ବେଦର ଅନ୍ୟନାମ 'ଶ୍ରୁତି' । ପୁଣି ଲିପି ଆବିଷ୍କାର ହେଲା । ମୁଦ୍ରାଯନ୍ତ୍ର ଆସିଲା । ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସୃଷ୍ଟିକୁ ଦୀର୍ଘସ୍ଥାୟୀ କରିବା ଓ ଅତୀତକୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସହିତ ଯୋଡିବାର ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲା । ପୁଣି ଆସିଲାଣି ଡିଜିଟାଲ ଯୁଗ । ଆଉ କାଗଜ କଲମ ଲୋଡା ପଡିବନି । ଏଭଳି ଦୃତ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତିତ ସମୟରେ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ନୃତତ୍ତ୍ୱବିତ୍ ଗବେଷକ ଡକ୍ଟର ରମେଶ ପ୍ରସାଦ ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଥମ କବିତା ସଂକଳନ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଉଛି । ଏହା ଓଡିଆ କାବ୍ୟଜଗତ ପାଇଁ ଆଶା ଓ ଆଶ୍ୱାସନାର କଥା ।
ଏହି ସଂକଳନର ଶୀର୍ଷକ 'ଭୋକ', ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ୫୨ ଟି କବିତା ସଂକଳିତ ହୋଇଛି । ଭୋକ ଅଛି ବୋଲି ତ ସଂସାର ଚାଲିଛି । ଏହି ଭୋକ ସଭ୍ୟତାକୁ କର୍ମପ୍ରବଣ କରି ରଖିଛି । ଦେହ, ମନ, ଆତ୍ମା ଏପରିକି କଳାପ୍ରାଣତାର ଭୋକ ରହିଛି । ଏହି ସଂକଳନର କବିତା ଗୁଡିକରେ ତାହା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ।
