An Open Letter Addressed To Moses Montefiore, On The Day Of His Arrival In The Holy City Of Jerusalem, Sunday, 22 Tamooz, 5635 A.m.-July 25, 1875 is a book written by Meyer Auerbach in 1875. The book is an open letter addressed to Moses Montefiore, a prominent British Jewish philanthropist, on the day of his arrival in Jerusalem. The letter discusses the history and current state of the Jewish community in Jerusalem and the challenges they face, including poverty, discrimination, and persecution. Auerbach also praises Montefiore for his philanthropic work and calls on him to continue his efforts to support the Jewish community in Jerusalem and around the world. The book provides a unique perspective on the Jewish community in Jerusalem in the late 19th century and sheds light on the important role played by Montefiore and other philanthropists in supporting the community during a time of great hardship.Together With A Narrative Of A Forty Days Sojourn In The Holy Land. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
