Getting dressed all by yourself is a BIG deal-especially when there are so many colorful choices!
Oliver Capybara is four years old, and today he has made an important decision:
He is going to dress himself.
But choosing an outfit isn't quite as easy as Oliver imagined.
There are shirts with circles, squares, stripes, and squiggles. There are colorful shoes everywhere. And then there are Oliver's absolute favorites-SOCKS!
Should he wear the yellow giraffe sock?
The navy-and-red striped sock?
Red sneakers?
Yellow sneakers?
Oliver has an idea...
Why choose just one?
With a little determination and a whole lot of personality, Oliver creates an outfit that is completely, wonderfully HIM.
And when his best friend Timothy notices one final hilarious detail, Oliver discovers that doing something all by yourself doesn't mean doing everything perfectly.
Warm, funny, and bursting with color, Oliver Capybara Dresses Himself! celebrates independence, decision-making, self-expression, friendship, and the joy of learning to do things on your own.
Young readers can continue the fun after the story with capybara facts, a clothing search, and creative activities that invite them to imagine outfits of their very own.
Perfect for little ones learning to say:
I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF!
