When an ancient wolf god and the last one left in Japan where wolves were driven to extinction escapes the old pinball machine it was trapped in it bonds with an isolated but clever girl named Reiko. Refusing the be trapped again because she turned her back on a changing world Reiko, calling herself the Red Flower Wolf Goddess, sets out to become the city of Tokyo's guardian. A hero. Someone who protects others and hopefully if she is ever trapped again will be rescued in turn. Not that she seems to need much rescuing.
Facing everything from thugs to terrifying demons and everyday life as well this goddess refuses to hide or let the world continue on as if she does not exist or there is some easy explanation for her that lets humans sleep soundly at night and continue to believe they are somehow in charge and monsters do not lurk in every shadow. She is stepping out of the forest and into the lights of Tokyo dragging the hidden supernatural world with her going through mundane existence like a wild animal. Refusing to be put away or forgotten ever again.
