Mary is determined to find a Halloween costume that will make her scary. With a giant trunk of costumes to choose from, it should be easy, right?
Not quite.
None of the costumes turn out the way Mary imagined, so she has a choice. She can either give up or get creative, and Mary's solution is definitely not what anyone expected!
Not So Scary Mary is a silly, lighthearted Halloween story about creativity and finding a way to have fun when things don't go according to plan.
Why Your Child Will Love It:
- Halloween Fun Without the Supernatural: If you're looking for a Halloween book without monsters, witches, magic, or anything scary, this one keeps the focus on what kids actually love about Halloween.
- A Different Kind of Halloween Story: Mary has a very kid-sized problem: her Halloween plan isn't working, and she has to figure out what to do next.
- A Message That Actually Fits the Story: Kids don't always get the outcome they want. Mary shows them that when things don't go as planned, you don't have to give up.
