A story about an average guy and the girls who made him. Tim Newman's spent most of his life trying to understand the opposite sex to no avail. From childhood crushes to random one-nighters, surely there's a way to learn from his mistakes so that the next one doesn't get away? Indeed, every guy out there can learn a thing or two from Tim's encounters - no matter how awkward or embarrassing.
Get ready for a hilariously relatable journey through the awkward, embarrassing, and downright clumsy moments of one young man's life in Thuyen Nguyen's Note to Self. Meet Tim Newman, a twenty-two-year-old from Melbourne City, just trying to navigate the bewildering world of the female half of our species.
Have you ever felt like you're deciphering an alien language when it comes to the opposite sex? You're not alone! Thuyen Nguyen shares Tim's cringe-worthy experiences, offering you the chance to learn from his mistakes without having to live through them yourself. Imagine having the answers to tomorrow's exam, but instead of a school grade, you gain something far more valuable - insight into the mysteries of attraction and interaction.
Step into Tim's world, where selling bedding by day is only slightly less perplexing than understanding the girls he encounters. From childhood crushes on the enigmatic Kim and the surprising Tania to the captivating Stephany, and later, the intriguing Amber, Tim's misadventures are a glimpse into the future - perhaps even your own.
Why suffer the agony of hindsight? Why wait days to think of the perfect comeback when you can glean wisdom from Tim's retrospective reflections. This isn't just a collection of funny stories; it's a survival guide for the romantically challenged, delivered with a healthy dose of self-deprecating humour.
Discover:
- The unspoken rules of attraction, as seen through the eyes of a young Aussie bloke.
- The excruciating lengths we go to impress someone we like.
- The fine line between making a move and making a fool of yourself.
- The surprising realisations that can come from unexpected encounters.
Forget locker room gloating and public shaming. Note to Self offers a safe space to learn, laugh, and maybe even see your own experiences in a new light. So, if you've ever wondered what goes on in the mind of a young man trying to understand women, or if you just enjoy a good dose of relatable awkwardness, then continue reading - it might just change your life for the better!
