A New Constitution For A New America, written by William MacDonald in 1921, is a book that explores the need for a new constitution in the United States. MacDonald argues that the current constitution, written over 100 years ago, is outdated and no longer effective in addressing the issues facing modern America. He proposes a new constitution that would better reflect the values and needs of the American people. The book begins with a discussion of the flaws in the current constitution, including its lack of provisions for social and economic justice. MacDonald then outlines his vision for a new constitution, which includes provisions for a more representative government, greater protections for individual rights, and a more equitable distribution of wealth.Throughout the book, MacDonald draws on examples from other countries and historical periods to support his arguments for a new constitution. He also addresses potential objections to his proposals, such as concerns about the cost of implementing a new constitution.Overall, A New Constitution For A New America is a thought-provoking and persuasive argument for the need to update the United States' founding document. It offers a compelling vision for a more just and equitable society, and challenges readers to consider the role that the constitution plays in shaping the future of the nation. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
