Love is a complex game. It seems simple at first, but becomes more and more confusing as we begin to explore its mysteries. How do we understand the motivations behind love? What is the value of a relationship and why is love one of the most important needs? These questions force us to look into the mirror of our own feelings and take a fresh look at how we love and who we love.
Love is a complex game. It seems simple at first, but becomes more and more confusing as we begin to explore its mysteries. How do we understand the motivations behind love? What is the value of a relationship and why is love one of the most important needs? These questions force us to look into the mirror of our own feelings and take a fresh look at how we love and who we love.
The book The Need for Love. The Value of Relationships invites us to delve into the depths of our unconscious, which is the constant driver of our actions. Exploring the boundaries of the conscious and unconscious, we will try to understand how they interact with each other, change and accompany us in this complex process we call life.
Detailing consciousness, we will explore theories of intelligence that will help us understand what intelligence is and how it relates to our emotions and relationships. We will discuss how intelligence affects our personality and how it differs in men and women and across cultures. We will understand why everyone strives to find a smart partner with high intelligence. Then we will explore the criteria of intelligence and its relationship to emotions. We'll talk about willpower and motivation. We'll draw important conclusions about how they affect our relationships and ability to love.
Next, we will dive into the study of needs and look at D. McKelland's three needs theory, psychoanalytic theory, and Maslow's pyramid of needs. All of these theories will help us better understand our needs for love and relationships. In Maslow's pyramid of needs, we will see how important the need for love is to humans, and we will also look at the whole gamut of needs, or unconscious human desires, from the instinct for survival and procreation to the need for esteem, cognition, aesthetics, and self-actualization.
