Having your car stolen is never a good thing but it's a much bigger problem when there's a body in the trunk. Glenn Gillman thinks that practical jokes are harmless fun, and they are, until somebody dies. The death of restaurant manager Stan Kozlova may have been an accident but Glenn worries he'll be blamed. He panics and loads the body into the trunk of his vintage Mustang. His plan is to move the body to direct suspicion away from his ill-fated prank but before he gets very far, his car is stolen. Things go from bad to worse and before long Glenn finds himself at the center of a crime spree that includes identity theft, home invasion, embezzlement, and murder. When the stolen Mustang is spotted at a murder scene it leads a hired killer named Echo to Glenn's door. Echo is determined to eliminate a witness but he isn't the only threat Glenn needs to worry about. It turns out that Echo's strings are being pulled by two even more dangerous killers. Mustang Shuffle is a fast-paced, intricately plotted thriller that expertly weaves multiple, converging story lines. Funny, unpredictable, and wildly entertaining, Mustang Shuffle provides insightful reflections on love, redemption, and the origins of the universe, not to mention cows falling from the ceiling, body parts in re-sealable plastic containers, and a whole lot of gunfire.
