Upon meeting him, however, we learn he is two years unemployed and grappling to come to terms with a life far below any he might have wished for. Just when it seems things cannot get any worse, his mother arrives for a visit - bringing with her an unrepentant questioning of the American Dream and much of the wisdom upon which American life is built.
