The forest can be a source of vibrant life, the locale of lurking danger, a safe sheltering refuge or a path to adventure, and for Momma Kitty and her spirited family, their forest home becomes a land of mystery and miracles, where every new day brings a new experience, presents a new challenge, or lets a new lesson unfold. Just as beyond the forest, every parent lives the joy and pain their children go through, dreams the vision they would bestow upon them, and each yearns to impart the lessons given them as they make their way through the wildland of their own life.
And whether you read this book with your child, or your child reads it alone, in the journey with Momma Kitty, her kits and their friends, with The Wise One guiding them all along the way, together you'll share their life's joy and pain, join in their dreams, and very likely you'll see that there's wondrous lessons yet to learn, waiting to be bestowed to one and all, young or old, that can offer a lifetime of benefit, if applied.
And that's the cat's truth!
Author Patty Shaw describes writing Momma Kitty's Miraculous Meows:
I witnessed every facet of human pain, conflict, and emotion as a court reporter for over thirty years. After each stressful day of experiencing this, I would come home to my loving cats and soon after, began studying A Course In Miracles, which became my spiritual guidebook. As the personality of each of my cats unfolded before me, so did each principle of the Course I studied, and as both joined in my mind, I began envisioning the story of Momma Kitty, living with her family in their mystical forest home, the guiding voice of The Wise One emerging more clearly as each new adventure unfolded. As I lived Momma Kitty's journey with her, the guidance of The Course deepened in my own life and The Wise One also spoke to me, giving me the lessons so precious to Momma Kitty. It's my sincere wish you find them precious, too.
She added, I believe you'll find as rich vein of enjoyable insight reading Momma Kitty's Miraculous Meows as I did writing it. And one thing's for sure, there's more wisdom adventures ahead for this forest family, as Firefly, his sisters Annie and Molly, elder statesman Fergis, and their new friend Pablo, all join The Wise One as they explore life, living and learning with each new day. We hope you'll join us...
