The lightheartedness of the residents brings relief to her very soul as Jenna navigates her way through the debris of Matthew's inner turmoil. The residents from across the United States and Canada in this Palm Desert resort in the Coachella Valley have become lifelong friends. Even as life's realities on aging become more evident, their humour and fun-loving attitudes continue to flourish. They attempt to regain what they had prior to his breakdown. However, there are so many obstacles to that happy scenario as more personal issues arise -- such as did an unstable Matthew just buy a gun? Jenna worries it wasn't simply for protection.
