In The Balance, Zayd struggles with guilt over his mistakes and the chaos within his mind. With Khalid's guidance, he discovers that falling does not make someone a failure. Like the sun rising after every night, a person can always return to Allah. True balance is found not in never stumbling, but in rising again with repentance, hope, and faith.
In The Boy Who Asked Too Much, Zayd's need to understand everything makes school difficult and causes others to misunderstand him. He fears that his questions are a weakness until Khalid tells him about Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, whose sincere search for truth brought him closer to Allah. Zayd begins to see that his questioning mind may be a gift leading him towards knowledge, purpose, and faith.
In Mercy, Zayd faces illness, medication, physical limitations, prejudice, and the pressure to prove his worth. When success finally comes, Khalid warns him not to let pain, achievement, or perseverance become sources of pride. Zayd learns that effort, patience, intelligence, support, and even the strength to continue are gifts from Allah.
MERCY is a heartfelt story about a father and son learning from one another, reminding us that worth is not measured by perfection, achievement, or approval, but by humility, perseverance, gratitude, and the mercy we show ourselves and others whose hidden struggles remain unseen.
