Joey Bluejay, hailed as the future of birdsong, is looking forward to living his destiny in the famous Melody Forest. But to his sorrow and disappointment, he finds that his singing voice is missing ... and he isn't the only one. Melody Forest has begun to go silent, due to a mysterious plague. As he is wondering what to do, a dangerous storm comes to the forest, and a powerful lightning strike sets the forest ablaze! Desperate for safety, Joey follows his friend Jack Rabbit down a rabbit hole, where they discover an underground wonderland called Harmony. There, Joey is introduced to animals who all play musical instruments. There are many surprises in Harmony, including the cure for Joey's missing voice. But when the fire dies down, Harmony must learn how to join with Melody, to restore all that has been lost. A heartwarming story of friendship, cooperation, and the power of music, Melody Forest is a classic for readers of all ages.
