She listens to loud noise coming from her neighbor's balcony and hears loud groans and bangings against the wall. Lina's family members ask why she hasn't reported her noisy neighbors to the police, but she flatly says they are police. She enjoys listening to Officer Ryan's beguiling accent and decides not to complain about him or his lusty housemate. The police couple kept the English street in question relatively peaceful, and Officer O'Hare once cited children as harassers when she was approached by a group of people asking for charity donations. The letterbox slot was a source of curiosity for Lina, but it grew when she saw the metal envelope poking out, and she tried to open it hoping for a feeling of life. She pushed a nail to open the envelope, but someone had already licked it, prompting her to think about germs. She grimaced when she realized she had just considered death seconds before and here she stood, worrying about bacteria. The envelope contained an invitation to a dinner party, and Lina pulled out an invitation with a cartoon of someone's name and details about the event. The last words of the invitation were Moonlight dinner party with a grand prize of $17,000 and a picture of Lina Grey.
