But with the cops focused on me, I'd have to call in a favor or two from some unlikely sources, all without letting Eileen know about my canid counterpart.

Time was running out. We needed to solve this mystery before Fallen Cross's finest permanently pinned the crime on me - and before Eileen got caught in the real murderer's crosshairs and joined her brother on the other side.
