In January 1924, the American author Richard Connell published his successful short story The Most Dangerous Game, which served as inspiration for several films and TV series. Richard Kreth adapted the story and retold it according to his own ideas, giving it a new ending that makes it even more thrilling.
Just like in the original, in Richard Kreth's reimagined version, the American Rainsford also finds himself stranded on a Caribbean island owned by a wealthy and eccentric Russian named General Zaroff. Zaroff, much like his unexpected guest, is a passionate hunter and has built a castle on the island, serving as a base for the ultimate challenge he desires as a hunter: the hunt for humans. When Rainsford rejects the General's invitation to hunt alongside him, he suddenly becomes the coveted prey of the Russian. A game of life and death begins.
