Moby Dick Or The Whale is a classic novel written by Herman Melville. The book tells the story of Captain Ahab, the captain of the whaling ship Pequod, and his obsessive quest to hunt down and kill the white whale, Moby Dick, who had previously destroyed Ahab's ship and left him with a prosthetic leg. The novel is set in the 19th century and explores themes such as revenge, obsession, and the destructive nature of man. The story is narrated by Ishmael, a sailor who joins the crew of the Pequod and becomes entangled in Ahab's dangerous mission. Along the way, the crew faces numerous challenges, including storms, mutinies, and encounters with other whales. The book is known for its vivid descriptions of the whaling industry and the sea, as well as its complex characters and symbolism. Moby Dick Or The Whale is considered a masterpiece of American literature and has influenced countless writers and artists since its publication in 1851.Call me Ishmael. Some years ago -- never mind how long precisely -- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
