Navy Captain Hari Prewet led the first expedition outside the solar system in 2275. It had been fifty years ago. The promise was if he was successful than when he return three years later he would be promoted to Rear Admiral and on the short list for Fleet Admiral. Everything went perfect on Tswevane except for one minor detail, both the men and women were incredibly handsome and beautiful as well as sexy and most of the crew fell in love with a Tswevanien man or woman, Prewet included. His wife wanted a love child, but the Tswevanien doctors told him the odds were 75 percent the mother would die in childbirth and 75 percent the baby would be a girl and the father would have to raise her for three years and three Tswevanien seasons, 16 Earth years. Tswevane doctors were more advance than Earth doctors and Prewet's wife said not to worry, so she got pregnant and like the others 75 percent of them died in childbirth and 75 percent of the babies were girls. When Prewet said he would raise his daughter until she was 16 on Earth, he was told that was not the promise he made. Sixteen years later he was a bitter and hateful man, a man that hated his daughter and women in general because they had cost him the only thing in life he really wanted, to be a Fleet Admiral. Prewet and one of the men from Tswevane whose wife from Earth also died came up with a plan to get revenge, to sell women to the intelligent dinosaurs of Mbaba. They ate fish, birds and mammals but not amphibians or reptiles. Humans were mammals, so they ate humans and Prewet started a company that sold the women to the Mbabans.
Since Tswevane was part of the United Affiliation of Planets, the UAP, they had to follow all UAP laws including rape, murder and the buying and selling of women, only on Tswevane, those things were not only legal but required as was knowingly selling them to the Mbaban for food stock. To prevent the UAP from stopping these illegal acts under UAP law, Prewet and others started a civil war and almost won. Ending the civil war did not solve the problems on Tswevane and all women from 16 to 36 Earth years were still required to be sold to the Mbabans to be eaten as we would slaughter and eat beef. Heather and her team were given two missions, figure out if Prewet was the mastermind behind the civil war and to get the Space Marshals and UAP government officials, all Tswevaniens, to enforce the laws. Heather discovered that all women on Tswevane had to always be topless, and had to wear short skirts with no undergarments so the men could just rape them whenever they wanted. She also discovered the mastermind was not Prewet but someone else. That meant that her and her team would have to solve both cases. The first was a no win case for them because they had to either allow the rape, slavery and sadistic ritual murders on Mbaba continue or arrest every male on the planet for murder. Worse, her and her team were now on Tswevane where they were expected to be topless and raped by anyone that wanted to before they were sold to the Mbabans as dinner. They were only outnumbered about 100,000,000 to one. Misogyny is the action packed conclusion to A Guild to an Uncivil War.
