The Misadventures of Cowhead: Snow Day by Charlene Peterson

The book appears to be a children's story about a young girl named Cowhead who wakes up to find snow covering the ground. Excited, she rushes to go outside and play with her friends, Dee Dee Duck and others. They build a snowman, but it gets ruined by a boy named Cocky Cornelius, who causes trouble. After a brief conflict, Cowhead's mother, Momma Cow, teaches her the importance of kindness and compassion. Despite Cocky Cornelius's behavior, Cowhead brings him a cup of hot cocoa, and he joins the group inside for a warm drink, turning what started as a difficult situation into a friendly one. The story ends on a positive note with everyone enjoying their hot cocoa and cookies together while watching the snow fall.
