Joe Barnes was a minister who moved in signs, wonders, and miracles until the day his wife died of cancer. He's spent the last two years feeling betrayed by God, hiding in his home, and editing books for various preachers to keep himself sealed away from the outside world.
Joe is drowning in his misery until his old friend Richard shows up on his doorstep and invites him to a class. Richard's class has capitalized on the topic of grief, and it meets at a church which is the opposite of Joe's current comfort level.
