A timeless fable about tiny heroes and big hearts. In a bustling village, a herd of elephants accidentally collapses the mice's tunnels in search of water. A brave little mouse approaches the Elephant King and politely asks them to change their path. When hunters later trap the elephants in ropes, the mice return the favour and chew the ropes, rescuing their giant friends. This gentle story reminds children that everyone-no matter how small-can make a difference. Perfect for ages 4-8, The Mice and the Elephants teaches kindness, courage and gratitude and concludes with thoughtful activities that prompt kids to think about cooperation, gratitude and helping others.
  • Classic moral: shows that even the smallest friend can have the biggest heart and that kindness is always repaid.
  • Captivating art: richly detailed illustrations depict village life, underground tunnels and a colourful elephant herd.
  • Universal message: ideal for family read-alouds, classrooms and bedtime; resonates with themes of empathy and gratitude.
  • Series tie-in: complements your Bassma series by reinforcing values of courage and kindness.
  • Activities: includes fun questions and crafts at the end to help children explore the fable's message of cooperation and empathy.
