See the life and mission of Jesus unfold through every Old Testament promise, prophecy, and pattern--discover how ancient Scriptures reveal Christ from Genesis to Malachi, bringing hope for every stage of your faith journey.
How is Jesus already present in the pages of Genesis, echoed in the Psalms, and glimpsed in the prophets' cries? With warmth and clarity, this book guides you through each Old Testament book, pausing to highlight the moments--sometimes hidden, often breathtaking--where Christ is revealed both in shadows and clear promises.
Included in The Messiah:
- Eight sessions covering the entirety of the Old Testament
- Discussion questions and answer key
- Maps, charts, and diagrams
Through thoughtful commentary and questions that welcome real-life reflection, you'll see the Gospel thread running from creation, the first promise in Eden, through Noah's ark, Abraham's sacrifice, Moses' Passover, David's lineage, and the voices of hope in Israel's exile. Each session roots its teaching in the Holy Scriptures, making faith in Christ both historically rooted and personally renewing.
Whether you're gathering with your congregation, digging into a Lent Bible Study, or exploring the richness of the Lord's promises on your own, you'll find encouragement. Join generations who searched the Scriptures and found the Messiah's story entwined with their own struggles and God's unending grace. God's redemptive work in the Old Testament isn't a distant past--through Christ, it is a living, present comfort and hope for you.
