A story about a young boy who yearns for true friendship, a true friendship based on mutual understanding, character, and brotherly love, not on the superficial things that makes the eyes twinkle and makes the heart grow cold with greed, a real friendship, something difficult to find.

Finding this kind of friendship is so hard more so for Gilbert junior, because he is a boy from the poor neighborhood, no one wants to be his friend because to them, he will infect them with his poverty. He gets bullied at school but never fights back, his calm posture and self control leaves a classmate wondering how he does it. The young boy Gilbert thinks he is the only one with the finding a true friendship dilemma, but there comes a new student from the elite side of neighborhood, rich, wealthy and has all that can attract the eye. He too can never tell who truly wants to be his friend and not because of his last name... Montgomery...and all they can get from him.
