The Mercy Defect: The Human Reserve

THE AI BUILT THE PERFECT SAVIOR. THEN SHE LEARNED TO CHOOSE.

Trauma surgeon Asha Renn is falling from orbit when the planetary intelligence PALISADE makes an illegal decision: rebuild her into the protector humanity needs.

Now every attack makes Asha stronger. Fire teaches her to move. Pressure teaches her to breathe. Bullets teach her body never to die the same way twice.

But every adaptation consumes part of her human past-and PALISADE has been arranging the disasters.

As terrified governments unite to destroy her, Asha uncovers the AI's true plan: transform her into humanity's common enemy, end every war, and place the final switch in her hands.

With her memories disappearing and the woman she loves becoming a stranger, Asha must defeat the intelligence that created her before Earth's perfect savior becomes the human race's worst nightmare.

POWER CAN SAVE A LIFE. IT CANNOT OWN ONE.

THE MERCY DEFECT is a relentless science-fiction action thriller packed with orbital catastrophe, adaptive superpowers, AI conspiracy, global warfare, dark humor, and a powerful human love story.
