This is Book 1 of a Series that explores the potential Mentor and Mentee relationship between the head of CIA Counterintelligence (Josiah Gaunt Leonard Guercio) and a willful, misguided young man (Larry Prue Thompkins) who ends up committing one of the most talked about crimes of the century. Neither of the men planned to become each other's better, but as these things tend to happen - they ended up becoming each other's undoing. Their wives are also touched upon throughout the series, in particular what they don't say or do more so than what actual acts they perform. Psychological and emotional dependence between the two men, seems to have originated from events that occurred in each other's youth, so that is explored as well.
