Maha-Vira-Charita is a classic Indian epic poem written by Bhavabhuti in the 8th century. The poem tells the story of Rama, a great hero who is the embodiment of virtue and righteousness. Rama is born into a royal family and is destined to become king, but his life takes a dramatic turn when he is exiled to the forest for 14 years. During his exile, Rama faces numerous challenges and battles, including the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana. With the help of his loyal allies, including the monkey king Hanuman, Rama embarks on a quest to rescue Sita and defeat Ravana. The poem explores themes of duty, honor, love, and sacrifice, and is considered one of the greatest works of Indian literature. This edition of Maha-Vira-Charita was translated into English by J. Pickford and first published in 1871.An Indian Drama In Seven Acts. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
