In this third volume of African animal tales, written by Betty Misheiker and illustrated by Ilona Suschitzky, Mafuta, the friendliest and kindest baby Hippo in the Game Park, longs to befriend the baby Kudu and Impala, but in return they reject his friendly approaches and bully him. Mafuta is determined not to allow their rudeness to get to him and in the end it is Mafuta who saves them proving that he is not only brave, loyal and responsible, but that it doesn't matter what one looks like on the outside, it is how you behave that really counts.
