Beyond the creek stands a little cabin that everyone has forgotten. But forgotten doesn't always mean empty.
When Mabel Mosswood discovers a trail of tiny footprints, a scrap of blue cloth, and a mysterious silver button leading toward Pinecut Creek, she knows there is a story waiting on the other side.
What begins as another curious walk through the woods soon becomes something much bigger.
Across the creek, Mabel finds elderly Alder injured beside his broken cart-and signs that someone else has been secretly moving through the forest. Strange star markings have appeared on the trees. Saplings have been cut. A map has gone missing. And an old cabin, hidden beyond a forgotten trail, has been opened again.
The clues eventually lead Mabel to Finn, a young fox with a surprising reason for being there, and to the remains of something Fernwood has nearly forgotten: an old network of trails, bridges, and shelter cabins once created to give lost and weary travelers a safe place to rest.
At the heart of it all is Elara's little cabin beyond the creek.
Instead of allowing another piece of Fernwood's history to disappear, Mabel, Alder, Finn, and their friends decide to bring it back. Together they repair the bridge, clear the forgotten trails, restore the cabin, refill its supplies, hang its lantern, and make sure that anyone who wanders through those woods will once again have somewhere safe to find their way home.
But Mabel discovers something even more important along the way.
Home isn't always the place where your journey begins. Sometimes it's the place you help create for someone else.
Filled with woodland mystery, friendship, humor, courage, discovery, and all the cozy magic of Fernwood, Mabel Mosswood and the Little Cabin Beyond the Creek brings the Mabel Mosswood adventures to a warm and heartfelt conclusion-a story about preserving what matters, welcoming those who need a place to belong, and leaving the path a little brighter for whoever comes next.
One last creek to cross.
One forgotten cabin to find.
And one final Mabel Mosswood adventure about what it truly means to find your way home.
