I'm surrounded by horse ranches, cattle farms, and cornfields for neighbors. This is the setting I chose for the book. It's so far in the country that it's hard for cell phones and cable TV to even reach there. She grew up reading Christian romance novels and credits the women in her family for inspiring her writing.
