5 out of 5 star reviews A Fantastic Coming-of-Age Adventure: London Blue is an unusual tale that mixes thrilling fantasy with emotionally charged drama in a fantastic way. The deeply emotional start unfolds into the journey of self-discovery, action & adventure, danger, intrigue, love and strength in the worst of times. The writing in strongly captivating with a fast yet smooth pace, a collection of characters that draw you in and a plot that feels fresh while having a classic coming-of-age vibe. ***Warning*** Before you purchase this book please be aware that London Blue is an extremely controversial YA adventure/thriller. Too controversial to be published in hardcover. Please do NOT purchase this book if you were at all disturbed by the subject matter in the Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runner, or World War Z.
However if you like your fiction to be relevant, thought provoking, and to challenge modern day events, like the War on Terror and the Nanny State of the USA, read on...
Overview of LONDON BLUE A determined soul can transform you. Nikki's mom, Laura, believes that the energy trapped inside of rare gemstones has the power to heal. And, Laura has good reason to believe, her cancer diagnosis has never been anything but terminal. Too sick to travel, this sets in motion Nikki's great quest to find a rare gemstone for her mom. Nikki begins her extraordinary voyage sailing out of Durban, South Africa, heading for the Seychelles archipelago. At first, sailing on the London Blue with an international group of teens seems like the perfect vacation. But, an encounter with a band of Somali pirates, leads to a harrowing sequence of events leaving seventeen year old Nikki and her shipmates battling for survival. Then things get worse. As one of the most beautiful places on Earth turns into a nightmare of panic, out of the darkness, a leader emerges...
More praise... London Blue Is Awesome!!! This Book entertains to the last page. London Blue is about a young girl's courage, determination, strength and love. 17 year old Nikki undertakes an important journey for herself and her mom. Then terror befalls... Nikki finds within herself courage and strength when her friends lose theirs... The author is Insightful and Brilliant. The plot fast paced and addictive.
