The premise for Loose Strings is based on quantum string theory, which postulates as many as 26 dimensions coexisting within the universe. What if there were loose strings left over from the Big Bang that randomly pull objects and people into and out of other dimensions? It would explain why objects and people periodically vanish without a trace from our Earth dimension, or if they do turn up again, they are in an unexpected place and time. What if there were ways to attract or create strings as a means of teleportation travel within the universe? What if another-dimension alien developed technologies for inter-dimensional travel and had plans to invade our dimension and subjugate it to his will. These are questions pondered by Jeremiah Berrigan, a brilliant PhD physicist, whose passion for answers makes him question his own sanity.
