About the guide
Little Ruth: First Day of School supports social-emotional learning by exploring the excitement and nerves of being new at school. The purpose of the teaching guide activities is to teach story elements (i.e., character, setting, plot, events, etc.) to students in Kindergarten through third grade, based on grade-level learning standards.
