Little Eyolf is a play by Henrik Ibsen, first published in 1894. The story follows the lives of Alfred and Rita Allmers, a married couple who are struggling to come to terms with the death of their young son, Eyolf. Alfred, a writer, has been neglecting his family in pursuit of his work, and Rita is left feeling unfulfilled and resentful. When a mysterious stranger arrives on the scene, tensions rise and secrets are revealed, leading to a dramatic climax. The play explores themes of love, loss, guilt, and redemption, and is considered one of Ibsen's most complex and psychologically intense works.RITA. [Throwing her arms passionately round his neck.] For then, at last, I should have you to myself alone! And yet--not even then! Not wholly to myself! [Bursts into convulsive weeping.] Oh, Alfred, Alfred--I cannot give you up!This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
