A humorous narrative verse story for ages 2 to 6 years that introduces the idea of healthy eating and the principle of action and consequence. Includes directions & equipment for the (c)Nutrition Game and sing-a-long lyrics to Emel's Little Bitty Song. Themes: Octopus, food habits, social choice, stories in rhyme, Nutrition, sea creatures, making choices, cause and effect, Food, eating habits, narrative verse. Review: Little Bitty Octopus follows the misadventures of a young impressionable sea creature who gets himself into an icky sticky situation. It is a lovely tale with an important message about actions and consequences, and making good food choices, for all young readers. Adrienne T. O'Connell, B.A., Grad. Dip. Ed., has taught children from indigenous classrooms in the wilds of the outback to multicultural suburban classrooms in a big city.
