Linda Tressel is a novel written by Anthony Trollope and published in 1868. It is the second volume of a two-part series and follows the story of Linda Tressel, a young woman living in Nuremberg, Germany. Linda is the daughter of a successful businessman, but her family is in financial trouble. Her father has died, leaving her with a large debt to pay off. Linda's brother, Augustus, is also in debt and is unable to help her. Linda is forced to take matters into her own hands and decides to sell her father's valuable collection of art to pay off the debt. This decision causes a rift between Linda and her brother, who disapproves of her actions. Linda also falls in love with a young man named Heinrich von Grosstark, but their relationship is complicated by the fact that he is a nobleman and she is not. The novel explores themes of love, family, and the struggle to maintain one's integrity in difficult circumstances. In Two Volumes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
