The Life of Jesus: Critically Examined is a book written by German theologian David Friedrich Strauss in 1902. The book is a comprehensive examination of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, using critical analysis and historical evidence to challenge traditional Christian beliefs. Strauss argues that the biblical accounts of Jesus are not reliable historical records, but rather a combination of myth, legend, and literary invention. He examines the discrepancies and contradictions in the gospel narratives and questions the authenticity of the miracles attributed to Jesus. Strauss also explores the social and political context of Jesus' time, arguing that his teachings were shaped by his environment and the expectations of his followers. The book is considered a landmark in the field of biblical scholarship and has had a significant impact on modern biblical studies. Despite its controversial nature, The Life of Jesus: Critically Examined remains an important work for anyone interested in the historical Jesus and the origins of Christianity. This Is A New Release Of The Original 1902 Edition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
