While the cards seem to predict loss, fear, and responsibility, Aaliyah refuses to let them define her future. She locks in on her goals, graduates early, rebuilds her relationship with art, navigates friendship and first love, and begins preparing for a future she was never promised. College decisions loom. Expectations weigh heavily. Hope flickers and fades, then returns in quieter forms.
At its core, A Life, Dealt is not about destiny - it's about agency. About how survival can coexist with ambition. About how grief and love can exist in the same space. And about what it means to keep choosing yourself, even when life keeps reshuffling the deck.
