I walked into the mess and there it was. The news readers talking and trying to quantify what had happened with the footage being played over and over again. Footage of the planes hitting and smoke pouring out of the Twin Towers, confusion, people talking without really knowing what they were saying yet.
It didn't look real, like something out of a movie, but it was happening live in front of you. No one in the room said anything straight away.
