About the Author
Ian Nathan Hale is a son of The Greatest Generation. He was born into the social progress of the New Deal, and came of age in the post-war economic boom that moved his and many other families from poverty to the middle class. Education and unions paved the way. As a young man he believed all men are created equal and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness were achievable goals. Beginning in the 1980s, Ian saw a cultural shift. Greed became good and EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW became prohibitively expensive. The 18th century Nathan Hale famously said: I regret I have but one life to give for my country. Today Ian Nathan Hale bemoans: My country has no life to give to me.
