Check out The Legend of Douglas Fir on FACEBOOK (Also Available in Spanish/Espanol.) A Christmas Tree reality check: How does a fir tree become a Christmas Tree? Answer: It must be cut down, and die! Little Douglas Fir is safe from being cut down in the National Forest, but he is hopelessly lonely. His only wish is to be a Sparkling Christmas Tree so he can share the joy of Christmas with all the children. He doesn't want to die, however, so he is doomed to stay in the quiet, lonely forest. With the help of a sparkling Twinkle from Santa's eye, Douglas is able to find the Christmas Spirit within him and overcome his impossible circumstances.
