Praefatio Historico-critica, In Veram Et Genuinam Collectionem Veterum Canonum Ecclesiae Hispanae A Divo-isidoro Hispalensi Metropolitano ... Auctam... is a historical-critical preface to a collection of ancient canons of the Spanish Church, augmented by Isidore of Seville. This work explores the authentic and genuine collection of these venerable canons, providing invaluable insights into the ecclesiastical history and legal traditions of Visigothic Spain. Andrés M. Burriel delves into the historical context and critical analysis necessary for understanding the development and application of canon law during this period. A significant resource for scholars of church history, legal history, and the Visigothic era, this preface offers a detailed examination of the sources and influences that shaped the religious and legal landscape of Spain.
