The fighting has finally quieted, and for the first time the people can think about where they will live instead of where they will march next. Instead of rushing into a fight, the leaders go and talk, listen, and learn that the altar is really a giant reminder that both sides of the river belong to one family with one God. This story invites families to imagine tents turning into houses, promises finally kept, safe places marked on the map, and a whole people learning how to live together in peace.
