As the trawler's crew-young Kenji, quiet Miko, superstitious Sato, and Captain Hiroshi-face the first sighting, strange signs appear: claw marks etched with names on the hull, wet footprints vanishing into mist, whispers reciting the drowned. One by one, paranoia grips them. A ladle is given in desperation, and water rises impossibly inside the ship. A crew member vanishes in the night, replaced by a dripping doppelgänger with vacant eyes. The ghost fleet multiplies, encircling them like a noose of rotting hulls and tattered sails.
