Can a short, shaggy, chubby little Icelandic Horse be a famous circus pony? Being a Viking horse may sound glamorous, but to Gerta, life on the farm is very dull indeed. With the help of her mentor and dear friend Denty, a know it all little ram, Gerta practices for fame and fortune. In this hilarious parody of the modern search for fabulous fame, we follow Gerta and Denty through her make over process. Only Grand Mare, Gerta's level headed grandmother, sees the folly in Gerta's fantasy ambitions. Foolish Gerta must learn for herself that life on the farm is wonderful indeed. Does Grand Mare know that Viking horses have exceptional talents? Will Gerta discover special gifts no other horse can lay claim to? And will Denty realize that he may not be the world's best image consultant? This gentle story with it's charming artwork, will have the reader laughing out loud.
