Quinn, Eyen and Kayla, Quinn's TCU AI, return to Ebon Olcar from Earth space aboard the Arrow of Olcar after providing aid to Earth Forces in defending Earth from the generation ships of an invading alien culture. They were initially mistaken as invaders themselves and were attacked, several times before Earth Forces accepted them for who they were. After two and a half months dealing with the Ohmtahn-Rhee, it took another five weeks to overcome the revolutionists. After a week of celebration and numerous awards, the crew of the Arrow extended their condolences and left Earth space for home. They needed to rest and to get back to their normal lives. Their 'normal' lives were quite far beyond normal! Upon reaching home new problems were presented. A volcano developed and threatened an entire Kindred village. And the Meerdol were at it again, trying to take over kindred land and eliminating any in their way! With the discovery of the Ionic Dampening Field controls, new things are revealed and not the least of which is an asteroid a mile long and half as wide on a collision course with Ebon Olcar!
