Perfect for young animal lovers ages 8-12!

Justice for Joe is a fast moving, historical fiction adventure based on Beautiful Joe, the dog made famous by Canada's beloved author and early animal welfare activist, Margaret Marshall Saunders.

When twelve-year-old Birch first learns the rare clock gene she inherited from her grandmother enables her to time travel, she's not excited--she's terrified. After all, she has a pretty horrible track record when it comes to succeeding at new endeavors. So when her Gran begs her to travel back to 1894 Ontario, Canada on behalf of animal welfare, she says no. But when Birch's refusal causes her grandmother's health to take an immediate nosedive, she's faced with an impossible choice.

Can she find the courage to set aside her fears and fulfill her beloved Gran's last wish? Or will she be forced to live with the terrible consequences forever?

If you love real-life heroines and heroic dogs, you're sure to enjoy Dianna Dorisi Winget's absorbing tale.
